The weekly update: The game has split into two branches

David’s Week:

Hello all! So as per the code management stuff that happened last week the game has been split into two development branches, one is for the demo, and another for the main game.

I’ve mostly been working on the demo branch this week, adding minor improvements, and tweaking various numbers. We want the demo to be as good a representation of the game as possible, but we still want to work toward the final product. So likely tomorrow or Friday we’ll release a revised demo with all the minor improvements. It will be the last time we touch the demo as we think our time is better spent working on the final game.

Tyler’s Week:

This past week I’ve been working on getting back into the flow of true development rather than preparing a demo, which is a lot less polish and little things. I did however update the king beacon, add a crown, and add a point light so the king really captures your attention. This will be part of the demo patch and the last thing I do for the demo. Here’s a picture:

On the primary development branch¬†I’ve been working on a few maps, that you guys will see soon. On top of that, I also have been improving at sound design, a skill I have always wanted to explore a bit more than I have in the past. It’s very new to me, but I’m excited to see what I can put together.
